Our Category A fluoroscopy and radiation safety CE courses are accepted for California fluoroscopy permit and supervisor/operator certificate renewal.

✔ Physicians, Surgeons, Podiatrists, and Chiropractors, who possess a Radiology supervisor and operator certificate, or a Fluoroscopy, Radiography or Dermatology supervisor and operator permit.
✔ Physician Assistants (PA) with a Fluoroscopy Permit.
✔ Certified Radiologic Technologists (CRT) with a Radiologic Technology Fluoroscopy (RTF) Permit.
These courses are approved as Category A by an ARRT®-approved third-party accreditation mechanism and are also accepted for the ARRT® certification & registration renewal. These are not AMA® Category 1 courses.

California Fluoroscopy & Radiation Safety License Renewal CE Requirements
✔ General CE Requirements
● The content of CE must be directly related to the application of X-ray to the human body.
● CE Renewal Cycle: Every 2 years.
✔ Licentiates of the Healing Arts (Physicians, Osteopaths, Podiatrists, Chiropractors)
● Must complete 10 approved CE credits.
● If they hold a Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit, at least 4 of the 10 credits must be in radiation safety for the clinical uses of fluoroscopy.
✔ Physician Assistants (PAs)
● PAs with a Fluoroscopy Permit must complete 10 approved CE credits, with at least 4 credits in radiation safety for the clinical uses of fluoroscopy.
● PAs with a Radiologic Technology Fluoroscopy (RTF) Permit must complete 24 approved CE credits, including 4 credits in radiation safety for the clinical uses of fluoroscopy.
✔ Certified Radiologic Technologists (CRTs)
● Must complete 24 approved CE credits.
● At least 4 of these credits must be in digital radiography.
● If they hold a Fluoroscopy Permit, at least 4 credits must also be in radiation safety for the clinical uses of fluoroscopy.
✔ All Fluoroscopy Permit Holders
● Must earn at least 4 credits in radiation safety for the clinical uses of fluoroscopy.
