A: All Radiology CE credits on TakeCE.com are accepted for the ARRT® certification & registration. We’re also listed as a provider on multiple state and registry websites.

Q: What are the CE requirements for ARRT®?

A: ARRT® requires most technologists to complete 24 Category A or A+ CE credits every two years (biennium). R.R.A.® certificants must complete 50 credits. Sonography certificants must earn at least 16 of their 24 credits in sonography-specific CE.

Q: Which courses are accepted for renewal of the ARRT® certification and registration?
A: All Category A or A+ CE courses from TakeCE.com are accepted for ARRT® renewal, regardless of your state. ARRT® certificants and registrants in modalities such as X-ray, CT, Mammography, MRI, NMT, Radiation Therapy, Bone Densitometry, and Interventional Radiology (IR) can select any category A/A+ course on any topic from our Radiology CE Catalog.

Q: Can I repeat a CE course for ARRT® certification and registration?

A: Yes, but there are few rules:
a) Repeating a CE course in a different biennium period:
Yes, you can repeat a CE course in a different biennium period, except during CE probation. However, if you used the course to meet CE probation requirements of the previous biennium, you cannot repeat it.

b) Repeating a CE course in the same biennium period:
No, you cannot receive credit for repeating a CE course within the same biennium period.

Please Note: As the education provider, we are not responsible for monitoring course repetition within the same biennium or during CE probation. To review your CE history, visit the MyCE page.

Q: What happens if I let my ARRT® certification lapse or go into CE probation?

A: If your certification expires, ARRT® may place you on CE probation. This probation usually lasts about 6 months, during which you must complete the missing credits. Contact ARRT® for details.

Q: Are your Radiology CE courses accepted in my state?
A: Yes. Most states accept CE courses that are accepted for the ARRT® certification and registration.. Some states—such as AR, CA, FL, MA, OH, OR, TX, and WV—have state-specific CE requirements.
